Create an account
Select “Start Free” to open the VPNBen user dashboard’s account creation page. No email address is required; create your account with a username and password. Check the username requirements, and don’t reuse a password from another site. Before submitting, make sure your login details are saved in a trusted password manager so you can find them later.
After submitting, follow the on-screen instructions to open your account overview. If the page says an entry does not meet the requirements, correct that field and try again; there’s no need to refresh repeatedly or create another account. If you already have an account, use the dashboard’s sign-in option. Manage your plan, subscription, and clients under the same account to avoid paying from one account while signed in to another.
Being able to access the user dashboard means your account has been created; it does not mean a plan is active. Check that the page shows the username you just used, then choose a plan. Save the dashboard as a browser bookmark so you can return to check your data balance, get your subscription, or submit a support ticket.
Choose a plan and confirm your order
Open the Plans section in the dashboard. First, decide between a monthly plan and a data package, then choose your data allowance. Monthly plans suit regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets on the activation date each month, not at the start of the calendar month. When you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days.
If your usage varies, compare the data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Data packages remain valid until used and never expire. Their billing works differently from monthly plans, so consider your usage habits as well as the total data allowance. Not sure which option fits? Review the full billing details on the Plans and Pricing page before returning to the dashboard.
After choosing a plan, review its name, amount due, and billing terms on the order page. Then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. When payment is complete, return to the user dashboard to check the order status. Don’t assume the plan is active just because the payment window closed. If the order status hasn’t updated, refresh the order or account overview before considering another payment.
Once the plan shows as active, continue to the subscription step. VPNBen has no device limit and offers a 14-day money-back guarantee; see the Terms of Service for details. Device count and data allowance are separate, so keep an eye on your account’s data balance when using multiple devices.
Get your subscription from the dashboard
Open the account overview and find the subscription section. Depending on the options available in your dashboard, copy the subscription URL or use one-click import for your client. A subscription is not a web address for a specific server; it lets your client retrieve server and configuration details. Whether anything appears when you paste it into a regular browser does not tell you if it will work in a client.
To copy the subscription, select the copy option in the dashboard, then open the subscription or configuration manager in your client. After pasting, check that the full URL is intact and that no spaces, line breaks, or punctuation from a messaging app were added. For one-click import, your browser may ask whether to open a client. Check that the app name matches the client you installed before allowing it.
Your subscription URL is an account credential. Don’t post it in public forums or share screenshots that show the full URL. When asking for help, describe the error and where it occurred, but hide the subscription details first. The example below only illustrates the URL format; it cannot be used to connect, and you should not edit it to create your own URL.
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Keep the user dashboard open for now; you’ll need the subscription option again after installing a client. If a client says the format isn’t supported, don’t add parameters or edit the URL yourself. Return to the dashboard and check the import instructions for your platform. For subscription and account help, see Frequently Asked Questions.
Import into a client on each platform
Download clients from the downloads section of the user dashboard. After signing in, you can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux. Get your subscription after signing in, and make sure your plan is active before connecting. For iOS, follow the dashboard’s current plan requirements. Choose a client made for your operating system; don’t use an installer for another platform.
Windows: Import a subscription and set up the system proxy
In the dashboard’s downloads section, choose Windows and download the VPNBen desktop client. Install it by following the setup wizard. Open the client and find the subscription or configuration manager. Look for an option such as “Add subscription” or “Import from URL.” Paste the URL you copied, give the configuration a recognizable name if you like, then save it and update.
After the update succeeds, you should see available servers in the configuration or server list. Select the configuration you just imported, then choose an exit server. Saving the subscription URL without activating its configuration may leave the client using old settings. When connecting, enable the system proxy or the connection mode recommended by the client. If your system asks for permission, confirm that the request comes from the client you’re using. Don’t run other proxy tools at the same time.
macOS: Import a configuration and grant system permissions
Choose macOS in the dashboard and follow the instructions to download the VPNBen desktop client for your system. After installing it, open the app and add the remote subscription in the configuration manager. If the dashboard offers one-click import, you can start it from your browser, then check that the configuration appears in the client.
When you connect for the first time, macOS may ask you to approve network permissions or enter your computer’s administrator credentials. Check the app’s source and the permission prompt first. System authorization is separate from signing in to your VPNBen account; don’t enter your dashboard password in an unrelated dialog. Once authorized, select your subscription configuration, update the server list, and connect as prompted by the client. If the app only appears in the menu bar, open its management window from the menu bar icon.
Android: Remote subscription and VPN permission
Choose Android in the dashboard, download the VPNBen Android client, and install it. Open the app and go to the subscription or configuration screen. Use an option such as “Add remote configuration” or “Import from URL” to paste your subscription URL. Save and update it, then check that the server list appears before selecting a configuration and server. If one-click import from your browser does nothing, copy the URL from the dashboard and paste it manually instead.
When you connect for the first time, Android will show a VPN connection permission prompt. Allow it after confirming that it was initiated by the client you’re using. If the connection drops frequently when the app is in the background, check your system’s battery and background activity settings and follow your device’s instructions to let the client stay connected. Settings names vary by device; there’s no need to change permissions unrelated to networking. For more details, see the Android Client Setup Guide for Beginners.
iOS: Download the client and update your subscription
Choose iOS in the dashboard and follow the instructions to open the client’s App Store download page. Availability depends on the plan requirements shown in the dashboard. If the page asks you to check your plan first, return to the account overview and confirm its status. Don’t use download pages from unverified sources. After installing the client, return to the dashboard and use the one-click import option for that client, if available.
To import manually, open the subscription manager in the client, add a subscription, and paste the URL. Save it and update. Once the server list appears, select a configuration and exit server, then connect. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, verify the app before confirming. If the list is empty after import, check whether the subscription update succeeded instead of adding the same subscription repeatedly.
Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard’s downloads section and follow the included instructions to import a subscription. This guide covers the general setup process. For more on server types, configuration differences, and choosing a service, read the Cross-Border Network Service Buying Guide. You don’t need to learn every technical detail before connecting for the first time.
Connect and check that it works
After importing, make sure the active configuration is your VPNBen subscription, select a server, and connect. For your first test, choose an exit region that suits the service you want to use. If you don’t have a specific region in mind, pick a server and check the basic connection first; there’s no need to switch repeatedly. For help choosing a server type, visit the Servers page. A server name alone doesn’t prove that the connection is working.
Once connected, open a browser and visit an international site you plan to use. Check that the page loads fully, you can sign in, and the content opens as expected. A connected status in the client only means the connection process has started; it doesn’t prove that every app is using it. Browser cache and existing sessions can also affect what you see, so try a new browser window if needed.
If you use streaming services, check that the content you want actually plays. A working homepage doesn’t guarantee that the catalog or playback is available. If you use AI tools, check that you can sign in and complete a normal request. Account region, subscription eligibility, and local usage rules still apply; a network connection doesn’t override them.
If the connection still doesn’t work, check your plan status and remaining data in the dashboard first. Then confirm that the client updated the subscription successfully, and check the selected configuration and system proxy or VPN permissions. Try another server and test again. If other network tools are running, quit them before testing to avoid conflicting settings. Change one thing at a time to make it easier to identify the cause.
Still having trouble? Check the Connection and Troubleshooting FAQs, or use the support ticket form in the user dashboard. Include your operating system, client, error message, and steps you’ve already tried. Hide your subscription URL and account credentials in any screenshots. Once everything works, your routine is simple: open the client, check the configuration and server, then connect. To set up another device, repeat the client import steps; you don’t need to create another account.
